Off with his head! (That is, if he's cool-headed.)
While reading Ulysses and (appropriately) drinking a pitcher of Guinness at my local dive bar, I saw a Major League Baseball commercial play up baseball's (rare) fights, bat-breaking, base-throwing, and other such displays of aggression and frustration, after which it quipped, "Who said cooler heads prevail?" Darn right, I thought. If you're going to continue to be America's pastime, you better keep up with America.
